What is the Lovehoney Silicone Dilator Set?
This Lovehoney Silicone Dilator Set includes five vaginal dilators which slowly increase in diameter from 15mm to 35mm, designed to introduce your body to vaginal penetration and reduce discomfort during intercourse. Each dilator is made with a rigid shaft, entirely covered in smooth PU-coated silicone, with a large looped handle to give you complete control over the angle and depth of penetration. Using this set regularly will help your body become accustomed to penetration and can help with issues like vaginal tightness and pain during penetrative sex.
How to use this product
Before use, wash your dilator and your hands with mild, fragrance-free soap and warm water. Find somewhere comfortable where you’re able to relax and take your time. Using a mirror if you feel like it, position yourself comfortably with your knees bent and your legs apart.
Apply a generous coat of water-based lubricant to the length of the dilator and to the entrance of your vagina. Taking deep breaths, relax your pelvic floor muscles and slowly insert the tip of the dilator into your vagina. If this is too much, you could try using your finger first before you progress onto the smallest dilator.
Using the finger loop to guide the dilator inside, continue to insert it as deep as is comfortable for you, stopping immediately if you feel any pain. Once the dilator is inserted, you can leave it in place for 5 to 10 minutes, increasing the length of time with practice. You can also try moving the dilator inside you to become more accustomed to sex.
Before progressing to the next size up, you should feel comfortable with your current dilator being inserted for 10 minutes - this may take days or even weeks. For the best results, use your dilator set little and often, starting with 5 minutes and building up to 10 minutes. Clean after use with mild, fragrance-free soap and warm water, then leave to air dry and store in the provided bag.
