Our plan for a sustainable future

At Chemist4U, one of our biggest long-term goals is to champion sustainability and reduce our carbon footprint.

Minimising our environmental impact is paramount for us as a company as we move forward into a greener future.

We’re planning to take on a number of measures to move towards net carbon zero, including:

Electric delivery vehicles

Local deliveries are a key part of our daily operations at Chemist4U, so our aim is to replace our current fleet of vehicles with fully electric delivery vans to reduce our carbon footprint and help to lower the amount of air pollution in our local community.

Eco-friendly packaging

Another one of our key goals is to replace all of our postal packaging with 100% FSC recycled materials to limit waste and reduce our impact on the environment, helping wildlife and natural habitats recover.

Sustainable products

We’re committed to providing a choice of quality products from the very best health and wellbeing brands - that’s why we’re looking to widen our range of sustainable, vegan and cruelty-free products by bringing new brands on board and giving our valued customers the space to make ethical choices.

Renewable energy

Powering our pharmacy, offices and warehouses with energy from 100% renewable sources is one of our major plans to move our business towards carbon neutrality in line with the UK Government’s Net Zero Strategy.

Recycled paper

Whilst we’re already recycling the majority of our waste, we’re also planning on switching to 100% recycled paper in our head office to limit our impact on the natural world and help to reduce the pollution caused by paper production.
