What are Gillette SkinGuard Sensitive Razor Blades?
Gillette SkinGuard Sensitive Razor Blades are a refill pack that will refresh your shaving experience when using a Gillette SkinGuard Razor. This pack includes 4 blade heads which can be attached to the razor to ensure a smooth clean. This SkinGuard Razor is designed for sensitive skin, with a guard surrounding the blades that help to reduce irritation, pulling and tugging on hairs, and provides lubrication. There is also protection for the skin separating the blades.
What is the difference between the SkinGuard and other Gillette blades?
The SkinGuard Razor blades only have 2 blades, instead of 3 for a Mach 3 and 5 for a Fusion 5 razor. This is because of the sensitivity aspect, as more blades can cause irritation for sensitive skin. The blades on the SkinGuard are also raised when compared to the other razors, in order to reduce skin contact.
Can these Gillette SkinGuard Blades be used with other Gillette Handles?
If you have any of the following Gillette handles, then you will be able to use the Gillette SkinGuard razor blades:
- Fusion 5
- Fusion 5 ProGlide
- Fusion 5 ProShield
- Fusion ProShield Chill
If you are using a Mach 3 razor, then you can only use the Mach 3 range of blades.
Is there any reason as to why Gillette SkinGuard should not be used?
The Gillette SkinGuard is intended for sensitive skin so if you do not experience any irritation when shaving, the SkinGuard is not going to offer you a better shave when compared to other Gillette razors. The SkinGuard razor contains ingredients such as grape seed oil and avocado seed oil, as well as glycol so if you are allergic or have any sensitivity towards those you should speak to a doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist before using.
