How Deep Relief Gel works
Deep Relief Gel contains ibuprofen and levomenthol.
Ibuprofen belongs to a group of medicines known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), which help to relieve pain and reduce inflammation and swelling.
Levomenthol soothes and calms the pain.
Directions
Always use Deep Relief Gel exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / Chemist4U pharmacist has told you.
Apply a thin layer of the gel to the affected area. Gently rub it in until it has dissolved. You can reapply the gel up to 3 times a day.
Side effects
Like all medicines, Deep Relief Gel may cause side effects in some people, but these won’t affect everybody. There are no known reported side effects of this product.
If you experience any side effects, including any not included in the patient information leaflet, you can report them using the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.
Serious side effects
Seek emergency medical attention if you notice any signs of a severe allergic reaction, symptoms of which include swelling of the face and throat, skin rash, breathing difficulties and/or loss of consciousness.
You must stop using this product immediately and seek medical attention if you notice any of the following side effects:
- Unexplained wheezing
- Shortness of breath
- Burns, blisters or rashes on the skin
- Itching, redness or bruising of the skin
Warnings
Deep Relief Gel may be unsuitable for certain people. Do not use this product if you are allergic to any of the ingredients or if:
- You have asthma and know that aspirin or NSAIDs may bring on an asthma attack
- You have broken or infected skin or skin that is inflamed
Talk to your doctor or Chemist4U pharmacist before using this medicine if:
- You have or have had kidney problems
- You have or have had a stomach ulcer
- You are having problems conceiving, or you are having fertility treatment
Do not use this product on your lips, nostrils, eyes, genitals or other sensitive areas.
Using/taking other medicines
If you are taking or have recently taken any medication, including medication obtained without a prescription, talk to your GP or pharmacist before using this product.
Age restrictions
This product is not suitable for children under 12 years old.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
This gel should not be used in the last 3 months of pregnancy. It should not be used if you are breastfeeding. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, you must ask your doctor or Chemist4U pharmacist for advice before using any new medicine.
Storage information
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date, referring to the last day of the month stated on the packaging. Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste.
