Why does my baby have nappy rash?
There are lots of different causes of nappy rash, it’s a common problem that most babies get at least once. Your baby will usually get nappy rash for one of these reasons:

Using alcohol-based baby wipes

Using a soap, bubble bath or other detergents that irritate their skin

How will Conotrane barrier cream treat a nappy rash or other skin irritation?
Conotrane works as a barrier cream, which means it provides a barrier between your skin and irritants which could be causing your symptoms. It helps to protect your skin from moisture and chafing, making it perfect for nappy rash or other irritation caused by pressure or rubbing on your skin. The ingredient benzalkonium chloride works as an antiseptic, keeping bacteria and fungi away from your skin and preventing further irritation. In the meantime, dimethicone acts as a water repellent, keeping excess moisture away from sensitive skin.
How to use this product
Apply to the affected area of skin as often as needed, gently rubbing into the skin if necessary. If you’re using this product to treat nappy rash you should re-apply this cream during every nappy change.
When should this cream not be used?
Do not use Conotrane cream if you are allergic to benzalkonium chloride, dimethicone, or any of the other listed ingredients. Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using this cream if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. If you’re taking any other medications, including herbal remedies or medicines you obtained without a prescription, you should speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using this product. For external use only, avoid contact with eyes or other sensitive areas.
Does Conotrane cream have any side effects?
Like all medications, Conotrane cream can have side effects, although not everyone will experience them. This includes skin irritation caused by the benzalkonium chloride in the cream. If you experience this or any other side effects while using this product, stop use and speak to your doctor or pharmacist if necessary. How to store this product
Store in a cool, dry place which is below 25 degrees C. Do not use this product if the expiry date printed on the original packaging has passed. Keep out of sight and reach of children.
Warnings and Precautions
Conotrane cream contains an ingredient called paraffin, which is used in lots of different skincare products. Paraffin is a highly flammable ingredient, so do not smoke or go near naked flames while using this product. You should also be aware that any fabrics that come into contact with this cream, such as clothing, bedding, bandages, or dressings, will burn more easily. Stay away from sources of ignition, make sure bandages and dressings are changed regularly, and change and wash your clothes and bedding to help reduce the build-up of product.
