Impetigo

Impetigo is a contagious bacterial skin infection that looks like red sores or blisters that break open and form a yellow-brown crust. There are two types: one with small sores that crust over quickly, and another with larger blisters that take longer to pop.

Impetigo spreads easily through touch and scratching. That's why it's so important to keep good hygiene and seek treatment as soon as possible to avoid spreading it to others.

Simply answer our quick questionnaire and our prescriber will decide whether a prescription impetigo remedy is right for you. If it is, we'll send it directly to your door to get your treatment started.

How do impetigo treatments work?

Topical antibiotics are commonly used to treat bacterial skin infections like impetigo. We have treatments like fusidic acid that works by stopping bacteria from making the proteins they need to survive and grow. When applied to the infected skin, fusidic acid slows down the bacteria's growth, which helps the body's defenses to fight off the impetigo infection.
