What is Avène XeraCalm Lipid-Replenishing Cleansing Oil?

Avène XeraCalm Lipid-Replenishing Cleansing Oil gently cleanses and soothes very dry, eczema-prone and itchy skin. Soap-free and with a physiological pH, this cleansing oil has lipid-replenishing power. It’s the first step in a caring routine to prevent dryness and itching, leaving the skin soft and comfortable.

Its formula combines the first post-biotic active ingredient derived from Avène Thermal Spring Water, I-modulia, which reduces sensations of itching and fights against irritation caused by dryness. Cer-omega is a skin-like lipid that acts on dryness and restores the skin's barrier. Avène Thermal Spring Water is naturally softening, soothing and anti-irritating. Fragrance-free and non-comedogenic, Avène XeraCalm Lipid-Replenishing Cleansing Oil is ideal for infants, children and adults.

How to use this product

Avène XeraCalm Lipid-Replenishing Cleansing Oil should be used daily. To use in the shower, first emulsify the cleansing oil in wet hands then apply to the skin. To use in the bath, add 5 pumps of cleansing oil to the bath water in order to protect the skin against the drying effects of water.

What is dry skin?

Certain people have naturally dry skin, where the skin doesn’t retain enough moisture. Others can develop dry skin during colder weather or due to a condition like eczema or psoriasis. If you have dry skin you may experience tightness, especially after showering, bathing or swimming. Additionally, your skin can change in texture or appearance like being rough, red and cracking, and it may flake or peel. Dry skin can be extra sensitive, too.

What is eczema?

Eczema is a dry skin condition that many people suffer from, and it’s especially common in children. It is associated with dry skin, but can also make your skin feel sore, itchy, and inflamed and can cause redness and cracks in the skin. It can occur all over the body, flaring up in small patches in some sufferers and being much more widely spread in others.

When should this product not be used? 

Do not use Avène XeraCalm Lipid-Replenishing Cleansing Oil if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. If you experience any irritation while using this product, stop using it right away. If irritation persists, speak to your doctor or pharmacist as soon as possible. If irritation is severe (for example, symptoms of a severe allergic reaction), seek immediate medical assistance.

Storage information

Store in a cool, dry place out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date, referring to the last day of the month stated on the packaging.
