What is Acne?
Acne is a common skin condition that usually develops on the face, but can affect your back and chest. It causes oily skin, spots and can sometimes make your skin feel hot or painful to touch. It can be treated with an effective skincare routine and good hygiene.
What causes Acne?
A common factor that is associated with acne are hormone changes, especially during puberty, but they can occur at any time in your life. Some hormones cause oil-producing glands in your skin to produce excess amounts which can cause spots. Other causes include hormones associated with the menstrual cycle and pregnancy, as well as genetic factors.
How Does Acnecide Daily Cleanser Work?
Acnecide Foaming Cleanser has been developed with carefully selected ingredients to regulate facial sebum levels to keep your pores clean and your skin spot free. It has been dermatologically tested to be suitable for sensitive spot prone skin and can be used with other acne treatments like the Acnecide Daily Moituriser.

What is Acne? Your Questions Answered
Spot break outs always seem to happen at the worst possible moment, just before a first date, the day you’re getting your photo taken, all of those wonderful occasions when you could really do with not having a huge spot between your eyes.
But do you just have a few spots, or are you suffering with acne?
I have been using acnecide to treat my acne for the last few months but the 5% gel is leaving my skin with very prominent red markers. I was thinking that the concentration may be too high and something like 2.5% may work as well. Is there any other acnecide products like the moisturiser/face wash or cleanser that have a lower concentration of benzoyl peroxide but still work as well. Or is it possible to buy acnecide gel in 2.5% Thanks
Acneside have a range of products, some which don't contain Benzoyl Peroxide. The range of products can be reviewed at https://www.chemist-4-u.com/acnecide-daily-cleanser-235ml .
I would also recommend on using the products less frequently to avoid skin irritation.
Can I use Acnecide Daily Cleanser and Duac at the same time?
Yes, this is fine to use alongside Duac.
I currently use the acnecide gel once a day as I find I don’t need it the twice a day. I have noticed that my face is slightly red after using Acnecide for prolonged uninterrupted periods, however when I stop using it I find my skins breaks out again. Which acnecide products I can use alongside my gel so I don’t have to use it every night but can still keep my skin clear?
I would recommend short breaks in between using the product or reduce to using every other day and see if this helps.
A gentle moisturiser such as aqueous cream or any sensitive skin facial moisturiser may help.
