What is a 4Head stick?

The 4Head stick is a headache remedy which helps to ease your pain. Applied directly to the forehead, the 4Head stick is an ideal alternative for those who can’t or don’t want to take tablets. If you suffer from headaches and need a simple way to ease your pain, 4Head stick could be the solution for you.

Why do I have a headache?

Headaches are a very common problem that most people suffer with at one point or another. They can be caused by many different things, with some of the most common causes of headaches including:

  • Drinking too much alcohol (hangover).
  • Stress.
  • Cold and flu.
  • Eyesight problems.
  • Dehydration.
  • Not eating regular meals.
  • Your period.
  • Poor posture.
  • Taking too many painkillers.

How will this product relieve my headache?

The 4Head stick contains the active ingredient levomenthol, which helps to ease the pain of headaches. It does this by producing a cooling or tingling effect on the skin of your forehead, soothing the area. Soon after this produces a painkilling effect, helping to ease your headache.

Can I use this product if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?

This product is safe to use while you are pregnant or breastfeeding, however, you should always speak to your doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist before using a new medication. This is to help you to be sure that the product is safe for both you and your baby. If you are pregnant and suffer from regular headaches, speak to your doctor or midwife so they can give you some advice. Severe headaches during pregnancy could be a sign of high blood pressure, so be sure to seek medical advice as soon as possible.

Will this product affect my makeup?

The 4Head stick goes on as a colourless, non-greasy substance, which means that it should not interfere with your makeup when you apply it. This also means that it won’t leave a greasy residue on your head after application.

How to use this 4Head stick

Remove the outer and inner cap from the 4Head stick dispenser. Twist the base of the stick anticlockwise until levomenthol stick sticks up. Apply 4Head stick gently across the forehead, avoiding the eyes. Reapply whenever necessary.

When should 4Head stick not be used?

Do not use a 4Head stick if you are allergic to levomenthol or any of the other listed ingredients. Keep away from the heat at all times, this can cause the 4Head stick to soften or even melt. Do not use this product if the levomenthol stick has changed shape, softened, or become flaky. For external use only, keep product away from eyes and do not put into your mouth. Levomenthol is toxic if swallowed, if you accidentally swallow this product, go to the nearest hospital Accident and Emergency department straight away, taking the product and patient information leaflet with you.

Does this product have any side effects?

Like all medicines, 4Head stick can have side effects, although not everyone will get them. These side effects include:

  • Allergic skin reaction
  • Mild watering of the eyes
  • An uncomfortable feeling where the product has been applied.

If you experience these or any other side effects while using a 4Head stick, stop using this product and speak to your doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist right away. You can also record any side effect that you discover using the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.

Advice & Guides

Can I take two painkillers at once?

Sometimes when you take painkillers you find that although they make your headache, backache, or whatever your aches and pains you’re trying to treat a bit better, they don’t quite do the job.

This is when you might consider picking up another painkiller to try to kick that pain to the curb. But how do you know if this is safe? Can you take more than one painkiller at once?

If you’ve ever looked into your medicine cabinet and asked yourself one of these questions then you’ve come to the right place.
