Canesten 1% Clotrimazole Dermatological Spray is an effective solution used to treat fungal infections such as ringworm, athlete’s foot, jock itch and fungal sweat rash.
How Canesten 1% Clotrimazole Dermatological Spray works
Canesten 1% Clotrimazole Dermatological Spray contains clotrimazole, an antifungal agent that tackles the root cause of infection.
Clotrimazole kills the fungus, otherwise known as yeast, by piercing holes in its cell membrane, causing the contents to leak out. This kills the fungus and ultimately treats your infection.
Directions
Always use Canesten 1% Clotrimazole Dermatological Spray exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / Chemist4U pharmacist has told you.
Before use, press the atomiser once or twice. If you’re using this product on your foot, it should be washed and dried thoroughly (especially between the toes) before applying the spray.
Holding the spray about 6 inches away from the affected area, apply the spray two or three times daily. The duration of treatment will depend on the type of infection you have, but this will range between 2-4 weeks.
If you have athlete's foot, it may be helpful to use an antifungal dusting powder, too. The symptoms of your fungal infection should improve within a few days, but if your condition doesn’t improve after 2-4 weeks, speak to your healthcare provider for advice.
