Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common hormone disorder that can cause a range of symptoms, including hirsutism, which is excess facial and body hair.

Any hair that you lose due to PCOS won’t grow back on its own. But, with treatment, you may be able to stimulate the growth of new hair. Plus, there are several things you can do to mask PCOS-related hair loss.

Minoxidil is the only approved drug for treating female pattern baldness. It’s a topical treatment that you apply to your scalp daily. It promotes hair growth and can even give it a thicker appearance.

My hair has really thinned and become a lot finer at the age of 21. Am I okay to use this to try and regrow hair? I have been using and trying many different methods such as hair thickening treatments and thickener shampoo and anything else you could think of. I havenâ€™t contacted a GP or doctor or anyone as I donâ€™t have baldness but I can feel that my hair is significantly thinner than when I was 17/18. I donâ€™t know what to do and I have lost a lot of confidence because of this. Please help? Thank you.

I finished my course of antibiotics in March and my hair is now falling out. Will I be able to use this regain for women? It says not if Hair loss is caused by drug treatment but I finished in March after having meningitis and sepsis.
