What is Veet Sensitive Precision Dermaplaning Face Kit?

Veet Sensitive Precision Dermaplaning Face Kit is a battery-operated device based on the increasingly popular dermaplaning treatment. It is designed to remove the fine facial hair known as peach fuzz as well as exfoliate the skin to remove dead skin cells. The kit contains the dermaplaning device, two face refills, two mini doses of Veet Miraculous Oil, a AA battery and a handy pouch for storage.

How to use this product

Veet recommends starting your dermaplaning routine by applying a thin layer of Veet Miraculous Oil onto make-up free, cleansed, dry skin. Hold the dermaplaning device between your thumb and forefinger with the blade at a 45-degree angle to the skin. Pull the skin taut and use short, feathery strokes, beginning at the hairline in front of your ear and moving inward following the contours of your face. Dermaplane your cheeks, chin area, forehead, and above and below your lips. You should avoid the delicate skin around the eyes. Rinse the device after each use - Veet recommends using a new head for every treatment.

What is dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning is a cosmetic procedure that involves using a blade to glide over your skin to exfoliate the face and remove the fine facial hair known as peach fuzz. Dermaplaning uses a smaller, finer blade than a regular razor, removing dead skin cells and fine hair with ease. The benefits can include:

  • Smoother skin

  • Removal of soft facial hair

  • Reduced appearance of fine lines

  • Deeper product penetration

  • Better make-up application

Is dermaplaning safe?

Dermaplaning can be carried out safely and effectively in the salon or at home. Removing facial hair in this way does not cause the hair to grow back thicker or darker, and there’s no reason dermaplaning would cause breakouts - in fact, the removal of dead skin cells means your pores are less likely to be blocked, leading to fewer breakouts. Dermaplaning doesn’t hurt the skin, and Veet Sensitive Precision Face Kit is equipped with a safe-guard blade so you can avoid the risk of any cuts.

Is dermaplaning right for my skin type?

Dermaplaning is a safe treatment for most skin types - the only people who should avoid the procedure are those with severe cystic or pustular acne. This is because the blade could cut the affected skin and lead to further problems with your acne. If you’re unsure whether dermaplaning is right for your specific skin type, speak to your dermatologist for advice.
