Buy Vardenafil Online

Vardenafil is a type of medicine called a phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor, used to treat erectile dysfunction in adult men. Erectile dysfunction is a common condition that results in difficulty getting or keeping an erection, affecting at least 1 in 10 men from time to time. It happens when there isn’t enough blood flow into the penis.

How vardenafil treats erectile dysfunction

This medicine contains the active ingredient vardenafil, usually in doses of 5mg, 10mg, or 20mg. Vardenafil is a type of medicine that’s known as a PDE5 inhibitor. This means it blocks an enzyme that regulates blood flow into the penis. When you’re sexually stimulated, vardenafil will increase this blood flow into the penis and heighten the natural process of arousal, allowing for an erection that lasts long enough for satisfactory sexual activity.

Directions

The recommended dosage for vardenafil is one tablet taken around 30 minutes to one hour before you plan to have sex. You must not take more than one tablet a day.

Vardenafil usually comes in doses of 5mg, 10mg or 20mg - the recommended starting dose is usually 10mg. If you feel that the effect of vardenafil is too strong or too weak, speak to a doctor or Chemist4U pharmacist.

With sexual stimulation, you may achieve an erection anywhere from 25 minutes up to four to five hours after taking vardenafil.

Do not exceed the recommended dosage - you may experience unwanted side effects and it won’t make the medicine work better.

Side effects

Like all medicines, there is the possibility of some unwanted side effects when taking vardenafil, but these won’t affect everyone. If you experience any symptoms of an allergic reaction (e.g. shortness of breath, swelling of the face, lips or throat) or sudden loss of vision in one or both eyes, seek urgent medical attention.

Some serious side effects have occurred, mostly amongst men who already had heart problems before taking vardenafil. These include cases of sudden death, fast or altered heartbeat, heart attack, chest pain and trouble in cerebral circulation.

Other, less serious, side effects may include:

  • Headache

  • Dizziness

  • Flushing

  • Blocked or runny nose

  • Indigestion

For more information on uncommon, rare and very rare side effects, refer to the patient information leaflet. If you experience any side effects, including any not included in the patient information leaflet, you can report them using the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.

Warnings

Vardenafil should only be taken by adult men. If you are under 18 or female, then you must not take this medicine. You must also not take vardenafil if you:

  • You are allergic to vardenafil or any of the other ingredients of this medicine

  • You are taking medicines containing nitrates, such as glycerol trinitrate for angina, or nitric oxide donors, such as amyl nitrite.

  • You are taking ritonavir or indinavir, medicines used to treat HIV.

  • You are over 75 years of age and are taking ketoconazole or itraconazole, anti-fungal medicines.

  • You have a severe heart or liver problem.

  • You are having kidney dialysis.

  • You have recently had a stroke or heart attack.

  • You have or have had low blood pressure.

  • Your family has a history of degenerative eye diseases (such as retinitis pigmentosa).

  • You have ever had a condition involving loss of vision due to damage to the optic nerve from insufficient blood supply known as non-arteritic ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION).

  • You are taking riociguat. This drug is used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (i.e., high blood pressure in the lungs) and chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (i.e., high blood pressure in the lungs secondary to blood clots).

You should talk to your doctor or Chemist4U pharmacist for expert advice before taking vardenafil if:

  • You are taking any other medicines or herbal remedies, including those obtained without a prescription.

  • If you have heart trouble.

  • If you suffer from irregular heartbeat (cardiac arrhythmia) or inherited heart diseases affecting your electrocardiogram.

  • If you have a physical condition affecting the shape of the penis. This includes conditions called angulation, Peyronie’s disease and cavernosal fibrosis.

  • If you have an illness that can cause erections that won’t go away (priapism) These include sickle cell disease, multiple myeloma and leukaemia.

  • If you have stomach ulcers (also called gastric or peptic ulcers).

  • If you have a bleeding disorder (such as haemophilia).

  • If you are using any other treatments for erection difficulties.

Food & drink

Vardenafil is perfectly safe to take with or without food, but it’s better not to take it after a big meal because this could delay the effect.

Grapefruit juice can interfere with the effect of vardenafil, so you should not drink this whilst you’re taking the medicine.

You can take vardenafil with alcohol, as long as it’s not an excessive amount. Drinking too much alcohol can make erectile dysfunction worse.

What causes erectile dysfunction?

Erectile dysfunction, sometimes known as impotence, is a common problem amongst men and may be caused by age, being overweight, smoking, drinking too much alcohol, or having a medical condition like diabetes, high blood pressure, or cardiovascular disease.

The inability to create or maintain an erection happens when there isn’t enough blood flowing to the penis, if the penis cannot trap blood, or when the nerve signals don’t send the signal of arousal to the penis.

Diabetes can cause nerve damage in the penis, in addition to certain cancer treatments affecting its functionality.
