What are Age Spots
Age spots (hyperpigmentaton) are blemishes that can appear on your face, skin, hands and body over time. The spots appear as a result of overexposure to sunlight. Age spots are flat, and can vary in size and colour from reddish brown to black. In most cases age spots do not pose any threats to your health.
What causes Age Spots?
Despite their name, age spots aren’t actually correlated with how old you are, they appear due to your exposure to the sun. Our skin contains the chemical melanin, which helps to protect it against sun damage. When the sun attacks the skin, the body will respond with hyperpigmentation which is caused by an increase in melanin. Age spots are common with people over 40 due to the fact that they will have been exposed to the sun for a longer period of time and because as the skin ages, it become less able to recover from sun exposure.
What do Age Spots look like?
Age spots are flat, oval areas of hyperpigmentation and are usually either black, reddish brown or grey. They tend to appear on skin that has had the most exposure to the sun, such as your face, neck and decollétage, the back of your hands and top of your feet, your shoulders and upper back. They can range from the size of a freckle to more than a centimeter across and can group together which can make them look more prominent.

How to use Spotner
Spotner is so simple to use. Twist the lower end of the pen (it may take around 10 turns on the first use) to push the cream formula up into the applicator. Apply the product directly onto the spots by placing the soft tip against your skin. Leave to dry before applying other skincare products or cosmetics. Use Spotner twice daily for 2 - 3 weeks or until the spots disappear. Replace the cap firmly after use.
When NOT to use this product
This product is for external use only. Do NOT use on pre-existing skin marking such as moles, birhtmarks and scars. In case of abnormal pigmentation, consult your GP or a dermatologist. Do NOT use this product if you are allergic to any of the ingredients (see ingredients tab for full list). Avoid contact with your eyes.
