What is ScarSil?
ScarSil is a treatment gel which is designed to help to improve the appearance of scars. It can be used all over the body, tackling scars wherever they may be. Perfect for children as they cannot pull the gel off of their skin, ensuring that they will get the best possible benefits that ScarSil can provide. ScarSil gel is available in 15 and 30ml tubes.
What is a scar?
Scars are marks that are left on your skin when you’ve suffered from a wound or injury to the skin. They don’t cause any harm and usually fade over time, but some people may be unhappy with how their scars look and may seek a way to help them to fade.
How will this product help to improve the appearance of my scars?
ScarSil contains the active ingredient silicone, which helps to soften and flatten scars as they form. Best used on skin that is healing, for example after sutures have been removed following an operation, ScarSil helps to reduce the appearance of scars as soon as your skin begins to create them. ScarSil also helps to relieve itching and discomfort as your skin heals.
How to use ScarSil gel.
Apply ScarSil very sparingly to the affected area and massage in gently. Apply 2 – 3 times a day for best results. When applied, ScarSil leaves a transparent silicone film on your skin.
When should ScarSil not be used?
ScarSil is for external use only, do not use around the eyes. This product is not suitable for use on mucous membranes or open wounds. Do not use ScarSil if you are allergic to any of the listed ingredients. If you experience any skin irritation while using this product, stop use right away. If irritation continues, speak to your doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist immediately.
