What is Pollenase Saline Nasal Spray?

Pollenase Saline Nasal Spray is an isotonic solution used to soothe and relieve dry, irritated or blocked nose caused by allergies and hay fever. It is particularly used to treat the condition known as allergic rhinitis. This product works by cleansing the nose of allergens such as pollen and dust that we breathe in, and provides much needed moisture to the nasal passages. This nasal spray does not contain steroids or other drugs so it can be used daily and alongside other treatments.

How to use this product

Before using, wash and dry your hands thoroughly. You will also need to prime the product if you’re using it for the first time, this means shaking the bottle well and pushing the nozzle down 3-4 times. Spray the solution 1-2 times in each nostril, you may use it as and when you need it and for as long as you need to. However, if symptoms persist despite using this product you should consult your doctor for further investigation.

What is allergic rhinitis?

Allergic rhinitis is a condition that predominantly affects the nose. It presents symptoms similar to that of a cold or hay fever, such as severe sneezing, blocked or runny nose, and irritation of the nasal passages, eyes and throat. Allergic rhinitis is defined by its cause. Non-allergic rhinitis can happen due to a virus such as the common cold or flu, whereas allergic rhinitis is caused by allergens such as pollen, dust mites, pet hair and mould.

For some people, coming into contact with these allergens causes an overactive immune response. Antihistamines and decongestants are the usual form of treatment for allergic rhinitis.

Who is this product suitable for?

Since Pollenase Saline Nasal Spray does not contain any steroids or drugs, it is safe for use by adults, children, the elderly and pregnant women who are struggling with allergic nasal symptoms.

When should this product not be used?

Do not use this product if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.

Are there any side effects?

Pollenase Saline Nasal Spray is unlikely to cause any side effects.
