Buy Nicotinell 21mg 24 Hour (Step 1) - 21 Patches

Nicotinell 21mg 24 Hour (Step 1) - 21 Patches are designed to reduce cravings and help ease withdrawal symptoms when you are quitting smoking.

They can be used if you want to quit smoking permanently or cut down the amount of cigarettes you smoke.

They can also be used if you are in a situation where you can’t smoke. The patches are a safer alternative to smoking for you and the people around you.

How Nicotinell 21mg 24 Hour (Step 1) - 21 Patches work

Nicotinell 21mg 24 Hour (Step 1) - 21 Patches contain nicotine. The nicotine is released throughout the day which is absorbed through your skin.

Directions

Always use Nicotinell 21mg 24 Hour (Step 1) - 21 Patches exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / Chemist 4 U pharmacist has told you.

Before you apply the patch, choose a clean, dry area of hairless skin on the front or side of the chest, upper arm or hip. Do not use the same area on two consecutive days to help avoid irritation.

Carefully apply the sticky patch to the chosen area and press the patch firmly onto your skin with your palm or fingertips. Hold the patch down for around 20 seconds until it is firmly stuck down.

If you smoke more than 20 cigarettes a day then you should start the process at step 1.

If you smoke less than 20 cigarettes a day then you should start the process at step 2.

Each step should be done for 3-4 weeks before you move on to the next step.

Using/taking other medicines

If you are taking or have recently taken any medication, including medication obtained without a prescription, talk to your GP or pharmacist before using this product.

When you stop smoking, medicines such as theophylline, clozapine and ropinirole may require their doses to be adjusted.

Diabetics should monitor their blood sugar levels more often than usual when starting to use a patch. Insulin or medication requirements may alter.

Age restrictions

Children under 12 should not use this product. Children are more susceptible to the effects of nicotine meaning it could increase the risk of severe toxicity. This can be extremely dangerous and in some cases, fatal.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If you are pregnant it is best to give up without the use of a nicotine replacement. Stopping completely is the best option.  If you can’t stop smoking completely then nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) is safer than smoking. You should speak to your GP or pharmacist for advice.  If you are breastfeeding you should try to quit smoking without the use of NRT. If you are unable to manage this, you are best to use NRT products. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, you must ask your doctor or Chemist4U pharmacist for advice before using any new product.
