Optilast

Optilast is a type of eye drop that may be prescribed for people who suffer from hayfever in the summer, or who suffer from allergies year round. These allergies can include problems with dust mites or animal hair.

How it works

Optilast contains the active ingredient azelastine hydrochloride. It belongs to a family of medicines call anti allergens, sometimes known as antihistamines. Optilast reduces inflammation in the eye by preventing the effects of histamines that the body produces as part of an allergic reaction.

What are the benefits of Optilast?

Allergies and hayfever may not be life threatening or have a long term impact on your life, but they can be frustrating and an inconvenience, especially if they affect your eyesight. Optilast reduces inflammation in the eye and eases the problems caused by allergies and hayfever.

How to take Optilast.

You should always follow your doctor’s recommendation on taking Optilast, and only use the following information as a guide.

For either allergy prevention or hayfever, the recommended dose is one drop into each eye each morning and evening. This dose may be increased if your doctor believes it is necessary.

Is Optilast right for me?

The suitability of Optilast will be assessed by your doctor as there are some medical conditions that mean it may not be right for you. You may not be prescribed the medication if you are allergic to azelastine hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients listed in the patient information handbook.

What are the side effects of Optilast?

All medications have side effects but not everyone gets them. You can reduce the risk of side effects by informing your doctor of your full medical history and any other medications you are currently taking. Common side effects of Optilast include slight irritation of the eye directly after use. This should wear off quickly.

How do I buy Optilast online?

To buy Optilast legally and safely online, you need a prescription from a GMC/EU registered doctor, such as Doctor-4-U. Our online doctor will allow you to request a prescription via a medical questionnaire. If you are deemed suitable for Optilast, your prescription will usually be dispatched within 24 hours. If you are not deemed suitable, you will receive a full refund.
