What is Odaban Foot & Shoe Powder?

Odaban Foot & Shoe Powder is a treatment that is intended to be used in order to remove any unpleasant foot odours. It will remove odours from even the oldest and well-worn footwear. The powder contains the plant Kawa-Kawa, a plant that originates from New Zealand that is used for medicinal purposes. It has been used by the Maori people. Each pot of powder provides up to 10 days of treatment and 6 months of odour protection.

How does it work?

Odaban works in two ways:

  1. Absorbing perspiration – by reducing the amount of sweat, it helps reduce the multiplication of odour
  2. Regular applications of the powder will result in the bacteria in the shoe being killed completely and leave the shoe feeling dry and odour-free

What causes foot odour?

Foot odour is a common condition that can affect anyone. The most likely to be affected are teenagers and pregnant women, as hormone changes make sweating more likely. Wearing shoes that are too tight, being on your feet all day, or under a lot of stress, will also make sweaty feet more likely. There is also a medical condition called hyperhidrosis, also referred to as excessive sweating, that makes people sweat more often.

Who is this Odaban Powder suitable for?

This powder can be used by anyone who is suffering from the effects of bad foot odour. It should not be used by anyone who is allergic to the ingredients contained in the powder. It should also not be used on broken on irritated skin. If you are any medication, then speak to a doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist before using.

Can someone who is pregnant or breastfeeding use this powder?

There is no evidence of any problems when using this powder when pregnant or breastfeeding. Though if unsure, consult a medical professional for advice.

How should Odaban Foot & Shoe Powder be used?

Shake the pot before using, and using the included spoon, apply one spoonful of powder to each shoe once a day. Do this for 7-10 days until the pot has been used. Only use on shoes worn daily, or in shoes that have a bad odour.

Are there any side effects?

Any side effect of using powder is most likely to be caused by an allergic reaction. If you notice any side effect when using this powder, stop using and speak to a doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist for advice.
