What are Numark Folic Acid Tablets?

Numark Folic Acid tablets are a daily food supplement which are designed to help support women before and during their pregnancy. They contain all of the folic acid you’ll need every day to support your pregnancy in one easy to take tablet.

Why do I need to take folic acid?

Folic acid supplements are very important for women during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy and before you become pregnant, and are recommended during this time by the NHS. This is because folic acid, which is a B vitamin, helps to support the healthy growth of your foetus. It helps to reduce the chances of the development of neural tube defects, such as spina bifida.

How much folic acid is in these tablets?

Numark Folic Acid Tablets contain 400µg (400 micrograms or mcg) of folic acid in each tablet. This means that your daily tablet contains all of the folic acid recommended by the NHS for pregnant women and women who are trying to become pregnant.

Can I take this product if I’m taking other medication?

If you are taking any other medication, including those you have obtained without a prescription, you should speak to your doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist before taking this product. Some medications may not be safe to use together, which can cause unwanted side effects or make your medication less effective, but a medical professional can help you to avoid this.

Are these tablets suitable for vegetarians?

Numark folic acid tablets are suitable for both vegetarians and vegans, making them ideal for pregnant women who need to take folic acid supplements without changing their diet.

How to take these tablets

Take one Folic Acid Tablet every day. Swallow with a sip of water or another cool drink. Do not take more than the recommended daily dose.
