What is Numark Hayfever Relief Nasal Spray?

This is a nasal spray that is designed to treat the effects of an allergy in the nose. The spray using the active ingredient beclometasone, a corticosteroid that helps to reduce the symptoms that are caused by the allergens.


How should beclometasone nasal spray be used?

Use beclometasone nasal spray as described. This spray is not to be used by children or adolescents under the age of 18. Do not exceed the stated dose. The recommended dose is two sprays in each nostril, two times per day. Do not exceed a total of eight sprays in any 24 hours. Use beclometasone nasal spray regularly for best results. It may take a few days before the spray offers maximum relief. Once your symptoms have improved, reduce the dose to one spray into each nostril, twice per day. If your symptoms become worse, increase the dose to two sprays into each nostril, twice per day.

Consult your GP or pharmacist if your symptoms have not improved after 14 days of use.

Do not use this product for more than 3 months without consulting your GP or pharmacist.


When should beclometasone nasal spray be used?

Beclometasone nasal spray is used to prevent and treat allergic rhinitis. Allergic rhinitis is an inflammation of the inside of the nose caused by an allergen, typically pollen, dust or skin from certain animals. The inflammation is very common and causes symptoms such as sneezing, itchiness and a blocked or a runny nose.


When should beclometasone nasal spray not be used?

Beclometasone nasal spray should not be used if you are allergic to Beclometasone Dipropionate or any of the other ingredients in this spray. You should also not use this product if you are under 18 years of age. Consult your hayfever treatment with your GP or a pharmacist if you are under the age of 18.


Do I need a prescription to order beclometasone nasal spray?

No, a prescription is not required to buy beclometasone nasal spray.


Can I take beclometasone nasal spray if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?

You should consult your GP or pharmacist before using this product if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.


Can I drink alcohol when I’m taking beclometasone nasal spray?

Yes, beclometasone nasal spray does not interact with alcohol and does not cause drowsiness.



Take special care and talk to your doctor before using this nasal spray if you:

  • Have a kidney problem
  • Have ever suffered from glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye, eye pain or blurred vision)
  • Are suffering from either a nose infection or sinus trouble
  • Have recently had surgery or an injury to your nose or ulcers in your nose
  • Are taking or have recently been treated with other corticosteroid medicines such as asthma inhalers, tablets, injections, nasal sprays, eye or nose drops, creams or ointments
  • Are taking any other medicines.
