How should Loratadine 10mg be taken?

Loratadine should not be given to children under the age of 2, or to children weighing less than 30kg.

Adults and children over the age of 2 (with a body weight of 30kg or more): take one tablet daily. Swallow the tablet with water.

 

When should Loratadine 10mg be used?

Loratadine can be taken to treat and relieve common allergy symptoms, such as runny nose and eyes, sneezing and skin rash. Loratadine works by blocking the substance that causes the symptoms.

When should Loratadine 10mg not be used?

Do not use Loratadine if you are allergic or sensitive to any of the ingredients. Loratadine contains: Loratadine, lactose monohydrate, maize starch, pregelatinised starch and magnesium stearate.

 

Do I need a prescription to order Loratadine 10mg?

No, you do not need a prescription to buy this antihistamine. In packs of 60 tablets or more, loratadine is classed as a Pharmacy Only medicine, and can only be sold under the supervision of a pharmacist.
