Cohesive bandage is a type of dress used to support or compress. The bandage sticks to itself but not to skin or hair. No pins or tape is needed for this type of bandage.
A cohesive bandage is usually used to support and protect limbs.
The bandage comes in convenient to use rolls of 7.5cm by 4.5m and is easy to apply.
A cohesive bandage has a wide range of uses but is more commonly used to stop bleeding, support and wrap sprains, dress wounds and can help to control swelling.
A cohesive bandage should not be used directly onto damaged skin. If the skin is damaged, a non-fluffy dressing or cloth should be placed between the wound and the bandage.
Do not wrap the cohesive bandage too tight as it can restrict blood circulation. If the condition does not improve, consult your GP or seek medical advice.
