What are Numark Antihistamine Tablets?

Numark Antihistamine Tablets are a form of treatment for providing relief for the effects of allergies, such as hay fever, pet allergies, dust allergy, and skin allergies. The active ingredient in these tablets is chlorphenamine maleate, which is a first-generation antihistamine. These tablets will provide relief for symptoms caused by an allergy, including sneezing, a blocked or runny nose, or itching.

What is the cause of an allergic reaction?

An allergic reaction occurs because the body comes into contact with a substance that it thinks is a threat. The substance is usually referred to as an allergen. When an allergen interacts with the body, the body’s immune system triggers a response in the form of defence in order to fight the allergen. This leads to the release of a number of chemicals. One of these chemicals, histamine, is the cause of many of the symptoms that are associated with an allergy. This is why many types of allergy treatment are known as antihistamines.

Who are these tablets suitable for?

These chlorphenamine tablets are suitable to be used by adults and children aged 12 and over.
