What are Nexcare Steri-Strips?
Nexcare Steri-Strips are sterile strips which secure and close small cuts or wounds. They help to support your wounds as they heal, holding them firmly in place while remaining comfortable. These strips are hypoallergenic and kind to your skin, letting you skin breathe as it heals.
When would I use Steri-Strips?
Steri-Strips are perfect for small cuts and wounds which need a little extra support as they heal. You can use these strips to support wounds after you’ve had a suture or staple removed, as they help to secure the healing skin in place.
What is included in this pack?
This pack contains two sets of Nexcare Steri-Strips, with a total of 8 strips:
- 1 x 3 wider strips
- 1 x 5 thinner strips
How to use Steri-Strips
Before using this product, make sure that the area you wish to treat is clean and dry. Cut the length of the strip to size if needed, using clean scissors. Line up the edge of the wound carefully, then apply the strips, starting from the middle of the wound and working outwards. Place one side of the strip on one side of the wound, bring the other side of the wound towards it, and then apply the strip over both sides, holding them together. Leave around 3mm between each strip. If necessary, apply more strips vertically across the original strips, to help to keep them in place.
When should this product not be used?
Do not use Nexcare Steri-Strips if you are allergic to any of the listed components. Do not use this product in areas where your skin will move a lot, for example on joints like knees or elbows. Do not apply to areas which are oily, moist, or hairy. Do not use on:
- Deep wounds
- Dirty wounds
- Wounds which may be infected
- The face
- Wounds caused by animal or human bites
How to store this product
Store in a cool, dry place. Keep out of sight and reach of children.
