Make sure your toothbrush is charged. Many electric toothbrushes have charge level indicator lights, so you can actually see when the toothbrush is charged. Start with the outside surfaces of the teeth. Guide the brush head slowly from tooth to tooth, holding the brush head in place for a few seconds against each tooth before moving on to the next one. Follow along with the shape of each tooth and the curve of the gums. Then direct the brush head along the gum line and upon the gums. Again, do not press hard or scrub.
Simply stated, electric toothbrushes provide superior plaque removal to regular manual toothbrushes. And because they provide the brushing action for you, many people find using power toothbrushes easier than using regular manual ones. Additionally, with so many different types and features available, it’s easy to find one that suits your specific oral health needs.
Some people dislike electric toothbrushes because they feel they aren’t as flexible as a smaller, lighter manual toothbrush that’s easy to move around. Manual toothbrushes are also considerably cheaper and that goes in their favour. However, you’ll find that many dentists recommend electric toothbrushes, mainly because they do offer quite a few additional benefits and do a lot of the work for you.
The right toothbrush for you depends on your personal preferences, you should speak to your dentist to find out which specific toothbrush they recommend, some peoples teeth clean just the same with a manual toothbrush. However, many dentists do recommend the use of Oral-B Electric Toothbrushes.
1) Be sure to turn off the toothbrush before charging.
2) Plug the power plug into the outlet.
3) Place the handle into the charger. The charger indicator will light up, indicating that the handle is charging. After the battery is fully charged, all 3 sections of the charge indicator will be solid green, indicating the battery is fully charged.
If you are experiencing pain in the mouth when brushing your teeth, be sure to contact your doctor immediately. When using an electric toothbrush never use too much pressure, the electric motion is designed to assist you when brushing and should not be pushed hard onto your teeth and gums, and if done so may cause damage.
