These tablets are a traditional herbal remedy for the effects of a cold or the flu. The active ingredient in these tablets is echinacea purpurea, which is a plant that is native to North America and is a member of the sunflower family. Its purpose as a medicine is to work as a form of pain relief and to treat a cough and stomach cramps.


What is the difference between a cold and the flu?

A cold and the flu are similar in a number of ways. They are both a virus that can spread and is spread by germs in the air caused by sneezing and also through touching hard surfaces with the hands. The biggest difference is that the symptoms of a cold are less severe than those of the flu. The symptoms themselves are similar. Cold and flu symptoms include:

Who are these tablets suitable for?

These cold and flu relief tablets are suitable to be used by adults and children aged 12 and over. These tablets should not be used by anyone who is allergic to the ingredients contained in them. They should also not be by anyone who has any of the following:

  • Tuberculosis
  • Sarcoidosis (a connective tissue disease)
  • An autoimmune disease (like multiple sclerosis)
  • HIV or AIDS
  •  Problems with white blood cells
  • An organ or bone marrow transplant
  • Treatment for cancer
  • Proneness to allergies

Can these tablets be used by someone who is pregnant or breastfeeding?

These tablets should not be used by anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding.


How should Echinacea Cold And Flu Relief 30 Tablets Traditional Medicine be used?

To use these tablets, dissolve in a 200ml glass of water and dissolve immediately. The recommended dosage is 1-2 tablets a day. Do not use this treatment for more than 10 days. If symptoms persist after using for 10 days, speak to a doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist.

These tablets can cause side effects due to an allergic reaction. Potential side effects include:

  • A skin rash
  • Swelling in the face area
  • Painful lumps on the shins
  • Drowsiness
  • Stiff neck
  • Speech problems
