What is Earex Advance?

Earex Advance are ear drops designed to help to clear waxy buildup from your ears. If you suffer from blocked ears due to wax, Earex Advance can help to clear your earwax quickly and easily. Ideal for those who want to unblock their ears without having to resort to syringing.

Why do I have blocked ears?

There are many reasons why your ears may be blocked with waxy build up, and many people suffer from this problem throughout the course of their lives. Some of the most common causes of earwax blockages in the ears include:

  • Your age – earwax can become harder and more difficult to remove as you grow older.
  • Your ear canals are hairy.
  • Your ear canals are narrow.
  • You use a hearing aid, earplugs, or any other in-ear device that could push earwax into your ears.
  • Your ears produce a lot of wax – some people simply produce more wax than others.

How will these ear drops clear earwax from my ears?

Earex Advance ear drops contain the active ingredients glycerol and urea peroxide, which work together to help to remove wax from your ears. Glycerol works to gently soften any hardened earwax, while urea peroxide releases oxygen to help to break up wax so it can be removed more easily.

How to use Earex Advance ear drops.

Tilt your head to the side with the ear you want to treat facing upwards. Squeeze the bottle of Earex Advance to deposit 3 – 6 drops into the ear. Keep your head tilted for a few minutes to allow drops to soak in and work their way toward the eardrum. Keep the drops in the ear for a few minutes before rinsing with lukewarm water. Wipe excess drops and earwax from outer ear using cotton wool or tissue. For best results, repeat once or twice a day for 3 – 6 days.

Why do I need to answer questions to buy this product?

You do not need a prescription for Earex Advance, however, you will be asked to complete a short medical questionnaire by your Chemist-4-U pharmacist before we can take your order. This includes some simple questions that all pharmacies legally are required to ask before supplying this kind of product. This helps our pharmacy team to be sure that this product is the best choice for you.

When should Earex Advance not be used?

Earex Advance is only suitable for children if advised specifically by your doctor. Do not use Earex Advance if you are allergic to glycerol, urea hydrogen peroxide, or any of the other listed ingredients. If you experience any irritation while using this product, stop use and speak to your doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist right away. Do not insert a hearing aid immediately after using this product, wait for at least 15 minutes for any residue to be removed before inserting hearing aid. Do not use this product if:

  • Your eardrum has been damaged or perforated.
  • You have an ear infection.
  • You have any other problems with your ears, including eczema, itching, or dermatitis.
  • You are using any other ear drops.
