What is E45 Dermatological Emollient Bath Oil?

E45 Dermatological Emollient Bath Oil is a proven form of treatment for dry skin and eczema prone skin. It soothes and moisturises dry skin. It also helps to retain the skin’s natural moisture.

How does it work?

It works by cleansing the skin of eczema that causes dry skin. It moisturises the skin to ensure that the skin stays moist, and it also protects the skin from going dry again by forming a long-lasting protective barrier over the skin.

Who is E45 Bath Oil suitable for?

This bath oil is suitable to be used by adults and children. It is not suitable for anyone who is allergic to the ingredients contained in the bath oil. These are:

  • Paraffinum Liquidum
  • Cetyl Dimethicone
  • C12-13
  • Pareth-3

Keep out of reach of children and only use it externally. Avoid contact with the eyes.

Can E45 Bath Oil be used by someone who is pregnant or breastfeeding?

There is no evidence of any adverse effects to using this bath oil if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. However, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, then you should speak to your doctor before using.

Can it be used when using any other type of medication?

It should be fine to use when taking another form of medication. However, if you are unsure, consult your doctor before using. This is recommended as there is a chance that ingredients in the medication could interfere with the ingredients of the bath oil.

How do I use E45 Dermatological Emollient Bath Oil?

To use this bath oil when taking a bath, pour 15ml of the oil into the included measuring cap. Then, put that oil into a bath of warm water. Get in the bath and relax in for at least 10 minutes. For children, reduce the amount of oil to 5-10ml, depending on the needs, and pour into a smaller amount of warm water. Dry the skin by gently patting down on it using a towel.

Can you use E45 Bath Oil in the shower?

Despite it being called a bath oil, you can use E45 Dermatological Emollient Bath Oil in the shower. To use it in the shower, pour some oil onto a sponge and gently massage it into the skin.

Are there any side effects?

Any side effect will likely be the result of an allergic reaction. If you notice any side effect, speak to a doctor as soon as possible.
