What are Durex Thin Feel Close Fit Condoms?

Durex Thin Feel Close Fit Condoms are slimmer for a closer fit. Despite the thinner design, the condoms can still deliver the same level of reliability of a Durex condom, to give you peace of mind, as well as an enjoyable sexual experience. The condoms are lubricated for a smooth experience for you and your partner. If you’re looking for condoms that provide extra sensitivity, try Durex Thin Feel Close Fit Condoms.

Why is it important to use condoms?

Sex should be an enjoyable and fun experience, but it is so important to keep yourself safe. Condoms are one of the easiest way to ensure safe sex to avoid sexually transmitted diseases, such as chlamydia and gonorrhoea.  If you are not looking to become pregnant, using contraception, such as condoms can help to prevent conception by preventing sperm from entering the vagina. Condoms are the only form of contraception that can prevent both pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases.

How do condoms work?

Condoms are known as a ‘barrier’ method of contraception which prevent pregnancy and transmission of STIs by preventing semen from entering the body during vaginal, anal and oral sex. Some people may feel that using a condom interrupts sex, but this can be fixed by making it enjoyable when applying. Use the application of a condom as part of foreplay, so you can still enjoy your experience whilst staying safe.

How can Durex Thin Feel help to improve your sexual experience?

If you’re not a fan of thicker condoms, Durex Thin Feel Close Fit Condoms may be a beneficial change for you. They are designed to be slimmer for a closer fit and increased sensitivity. They still provide reliable protection like any other Durex condom, despite the thinner design. Each condom is lubricated for a smooth experience. The nominal width of these condoms are 52.5 mm so they will fit most men, even those with a slightly larger girth. Durex condoms are 100% electronically tested for safety, with 5 more quality tests carried out on every batch, to give you peace of mind as well as an enjoyable experience.

How to use this product

Condoms are only effective if they are applied correctly. Before applying any condom, ensure you check the use-by date. If the condom is out of date, do not use it as it will not be as effective. When opening the packet, take care not to rip the condom. This can be achieved by gently pushing the condom to one side of the wrapper and tear from the corner on the opposite side. Avoid handling the condom with sharp nails and jewellery. Check the condom is the correct way round before applying - the teat end should be pointing up. If you have accidentally applied the condom the wrong way round, remove it, dispose of it and use another one. A man’s precum contains semen, so if it comes into contact with a condom before use this can eliminate the effectiveness of the condom. Ensuring the penis is fully erect, pinch the teat between your thumb and finger, to prevent trapped air which can cause the condom to split. Now roll the condom down to the base of the penis whilst smoothing out any air bubbles that may appear around the shaft.

Remember that no contraception can provide 100% protection against pregnancy so it is recommended that you also use some form of birth control, such as the coil or the pill. Always change your condom when you change to another form of sex, e.g. swapping from vaginal sex to anal sex.

When NOT to use durex thin feel condoms

Do NOT use this product if you are allergic to latex. Remember that no method of contraception works 100% against pregnancy or sexually transmitted infections, but they can vastly reduce the risk of both.
