Cystopurin 3g Granules With Natural Cranberry Extract contains the active ingredient potassium citrate 3g. It works by counteracting the acidity of your urine, reliving the burning and stinging sensation of passing water. 

Directions

Always use Cystopurin 3g Granules With Natural Cranberry Extract exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / Chemist4U pharmacist has told you. 

Dissolve one sachet in 200ml of cold water. Drink the solution 3 times a day for 2 days. All 6 sachets must be consumed to complete the course of the treatment.

Side effects

Like all medicines, Cystopurin 3g Granules may cause side effects in some people, but these won’t affect everybody. A common side effect is stomach irritation. This can be minimised by adding extra water to the solution or drinking it after meals.

Serious side effects

Seek emergency medical attention if you notice any signs of a severe allergic reaction, symptoms of which include swelling of the face and throat, skin rash, breathing difficulties and/or loss of consciousness. 

Warnings

Cystopurin 3g may be unsuitable for certain people. Do not consume this product if you are allergic to any of the ingredients or if you have a history of kidney disease.

Talk to your doctor or Chemist4U pharmacist before taking this medicine if: 

• You have a history of heart problems 
• You have urine that is dark, cloudy or has blood in it 
• You have unusually heavy vaginal discharge 
• You have stomach, groin or back pain 
• You have a high body temperature and general tiredness
• You suffer from phenylketonuria

Using/taking other medicines

If you are taking any other medications or have recently taken any medication including ones not obtained through a prescription, please talk to your doctor or pharmacist. 

In particular, you should speak to your healthcare provider if you are taking ACE inhibitors or diuretics that retain potassium.

Age restrictions 

This product is not recommended for children under 6 years old. 

Children over 6 years old should only use this product if a doctor has advised them to.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

This product should not be taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless you are advised to do so by your doctor.

Food and drink

While suffering from cystitis you should avoid alcohol, fruit juices, coffee and strong tea. You should also try to drink as much water as possible.

Storage information

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date, referring to the last day of the month stated on the packaging. Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste.
