What is Benylin Children's 6+ Chesty Coughs?

Benylin Children’s 6+ Chesty Coughs is a medicine that will treat a chesty or a mucus cough. It works thanks to the active ingredient guaifenesin. Guaifenesin is what is known as an expectorant, this is a drug that will reduce the amount of mucus or phlegm that is blocking the airways, making it easier to breathe and also cough up the remaining mucus or phlegm.

What is a chesty cough?

A chesty cough is a type of a cough that is caused when the mucus becomes blocked in the chest and throat. This results in a cough that is intended to clear the mucus. However, because it is stuck where it is, it cannot be coughed up. Therefore, treatment is needed to clear it. A mucus cough is often a symptom of a cold or flu. It can also be caused by an allergic reaction; such as hay fever.
