What is Pirinase Hay Fever Nasal Spray?

Pirinase Hay Fever Nasal Spray is a treatment for hay fever and allergy symptoms, helping you to feel more comfortable for up to 24 hours. It’s ideal for clearing a blocked or runny nose and easing sneezing, coughs, itchy and watery eyes, and other annoying hay fever symptoms. If you’re looking for an easy, once-daily treatment for hay fever or allergy symptoms, Pirinase could be the perfect product for you.

What is hay fever?

Hay fever is a type of allergy which means that your body is sensitive to pollen, which is created by plants and flowers, especially over the Spring and Summer months. When you have hay fever, coming into contact with pollen will cause your body to react, creating a natural substance called histamine. Histamine tells different parts of your body to get rid of allergens like pollen, causing symptoms such as sneezing, a runny or blocked nose, coughs, itching, and many more.

How will Pirinase Nasal Spray treat my hay fever or allergies?

Each spray of Pirinase Nasal Spray contains 50 micrograms an active ingredient called fluticasone propionate, which is a corticosteroid. It works by reducing the inflammation that happens in your nasal passages when you have hay fever or another allergic reaction, helping to clear a blocked nose and ease sneezing, itchy or watery eyes, and other symptoms for up to 24 hours.

Can I use this product if I’m pregnant?

If you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, you should speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using Pirinase. You may still be able to use this nasal spray, but your doctor or pharmacist may wish to recommend another treatment which may be more suitable for you.

Can I use this product if I’m taking other medication?

If you’re taking any other medication, including those you obtained without a prescription, you should speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using this product. This especially applies if you are already taking corticosteroid medications, e.g. eczema cream, asthma inhalers, etc. Do not use Pirinase if you are already taking medicines for HIV.

Can I drive after using this product?

Some of the potential side effects of Pirinase Nasal Spray include blurred vision or eye problems. If you experience these or any other side effects which may affect your concentration or alertness while using this product, do not attempt to drive or use tools or machinery until you are sure you are safe to do so.

How to use this product

The recommended number of times you should use this nasal spray is two sprays up each nostril once a day. If your symptoms don’t improve after 7 days contact your doctor and don’t use it for more than a month unless told to do so by your doctor.

When should this nasal spray not be used?

Pirinase Nasal Spray is not suitable for use in children under the age of 18. Do not use this product if you are allergic to fluticasone propionate or any of the other listed ingredients. Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this product if you:
