Veganin tablets are pain relief tablets that are ideal for moderate aches and pains. They’re perfect for those looking to ease the pain that can’t be relieved by other painkillers alone and needs a little more help.
What kinds of pain can these tablets help with?
Veganin can be used to ease lots of different aches and pains while remaining. Some of the most common reasons why people take these tablets include:
- Migraine
- Headache
- Rheumatic pain
- Period pain
- Toothache
- Neuralgia
How will this product work ease my pain?
Veganin tablets contain three active ingredients which work to ease your pain; paracetamol, codeine, and caffeine. Paracetamol is a popular painkiller that many people use every day to ease aches and pains as well as high temperatures. Codeine is part of a group of medicines known as opioid analgesics, which means that it works to ease the pain. Codeine can be used alone or alongside other painkillers, to ease the pain that cannot be managed by pain relief medications such as ibuprofen, aspirin, or paracetamol alone. Caffeine is a stimulant that helps paracetamol to work more effectively.
How to take Veganin
For adults over the age of 18, swallow 2 Veganin tablets with water every 4 – 6 hours. Make sure to leave at least 4 hours between each dose and do not take more than 8 tablets in any 24 hours. You do not need a prescription for Veganin, however, you will be asked to complete a short medical questionnaire by your Chemist-4-U pharmacist before we can take your order. This includes some simple questions that all pharmacies legally are required to ask before supplying this kind of product. This helps our pharmacy team to be sure that this product is the best choice for you.
When should Veganin not be used?
Veganin is not suitable for use by children under the age of 12. Do not take these tablets if you are allergic to paracetamol, caffeine, codeine phosphate, or any of the other listed ingredients. These tablets may make you feel sleepy or dizzy, do not attempt to drive or operate tools or machinery unless you are certain that you are not affected in this way. Do not take this product if you:
- Have asthma or very shallow breathing
- Suffer from alcoholism
- Have a head injury or increased pressure in your skull
- Have had surgery on your bile duct
- Are already taking a medicine which contains paracetamol
- Are under the age of 18 and have had your tonsils or adenoids removed due to obstructive sleep apnoea syndrome
- Know that you metabolise very rapidly codeine into morphine
- Are breastfeeding
- Are pregnant
Speak to your doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist before using Veganin if you:
- Have severe liver or kidney problems, including alcoholic liver disease
- Are elderly, as you may be more likely to get some side effects
- Have prostate problems
- Have bowel problems, particularly those causing inflammation or blockage, or have recently had bowel surgery

Does this product have any side effects?
Like all medicines, Veganin can have side effects, although not everyone will get them. These side effects include:
- Allergic reactions, e.g. sweating, red face, skin rash, itchy skin, swelling of the face
- Drowsiness, dizziness, headache, vertigo, nervousness, irritability, blurred or double vision
- Stomach cramps, constipation, feeling sick, vomiting, dry mouth
- Difficulty or pain in urinating, needing to pee more than usual, passing more or less urine than usual
- Palpitations
- Low blood pressure, bruising or bleeding more easily than usual, catching more infections (e.g. colds) than usual
- Becoming used to the effects of Veganin or becoming dependent or addicted
- Seeing, hearing, or feeling things that are not real (hallucinations), nightmares, restlessness
If you experience these or any other side effects while using this product, stop use and speak to your doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist right away.
