What is Numark Sleep Aid 50mg?

Numark Sleep Aid tablets are one-a-night tablets that can help you to get a good night’s sleep when you’re suffering from temporary insomnia. If your stress and worries are keeping you awake at night, jet lag has you counting sheep, or your noisy neighbours won’t let you get some rest, these sleeping tablets can help you to drop off for a good 8 hours. They’re ideal for adults and teens over the age of 16 who aren’t getting the sleep they need and are searching for a temporary solution.

Why can’t I get to sleep?

There are lots of reasons why you might be experiencing short term insomnia, which is the technical term for not being able to sleep. Usually, you’ll get through it without it doing you any harm and things will go back to normal, but sleeping tablets or sleep aids can help you to drop off and get some good sleep. Some of the most common reasons why you may be struggling to fall asleep include:

  • Jet lag

  • Stress, anxiety, or depression

  • A loud environment

  • Being too hot or too cold

  • Bright lights or not being able to keep your room dark enough

  • An uncomfortable bed

  • Shift work

  • Some medications or medical conditions

How will the diphenhydramine in Numark Sleep Aid relieve my insomnia?

The active ingredient in Numark Sleep Aid tablets is 50mg of diphenhydramine hydrochloride, which is an antihistamine. It makes you feel drowsy after you’ve taken your tablet, helping to reduce the amount of time it takes for you to drop off to sleep. This won’t just help you to fall asleep, but can also help you to have a longer and deeper sleep, helping you to feel refreshed and well rested when you wake up.

Can I take these tablets if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?

If you’re pregnant or breastfeeding you should speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Numark Sleep Aid. This medication may not be the best choice for you or your baby at this time. Your doctor or pharmacist may wish to recommend another remedy or some ways to improve your sleep hygiene that may help you to drop off without taking medication.

Can I take this product if I’m taking other medication?

If you’re taking any other medication, including herbal remedies or medicines you got without a prescription, you should speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Numark Sleep Aid. This especially applies if you are already taking:

  • Tricyclic antidepressants

  • MAOIs (monoamine oxidase inhibitors) or have taken these within the past 2 weeks

  • Atropine, which is used to dilate your pupils

  • Medicines used to make you drowsy

  • Any other antihistamines, including those in hay fever and allergy medicines, cold and cough medicines, and those used on the skin.

Can I drive if I’ve taken these sleeping tablets?

You usually won’t be able to drive after taking Numark sleeping tablets, as they’re designed to make you feel sleepy or drowsy. This will naturally affect your concentration and ability to drive or use any tools or machinery. You should only attempt to drive again when you’re sure the symptoms have passed and you can do so safely.
