What is Lamisil Once?
Lamisil Once is a treatment for athlete’s foot that needs just one simple application to kill the infection. It creates a film on your feet that helps to kill the fungi that cause athlete’s foot, giving visible results after just a few days.
What is athlete’s foot?
Athlete’s foot is a fungal skin infection that normally starts between your toes but can spread over the sides or soles of your feet. Athlete’s foot happens when the fungi that live on your skin are given a warm, moist environment and can thrive, causing infection.
How does Lamisil Once treat athlete’s foot?
Lamisil Once uses the active ingredient terbinafine, an antifungal agent which works to kill the fungi that cause athlete’s foot. Lamisil Once leaves a colourless film on your skin, which delivers the active ingredient directly to your skin over time.
Can I use Lamisil Once to treat fungal nail infections?
Lamisil Once is not suitable to use as a treatment for fungal nail infections and should only be used on your feet. If you have a fungal nail infection or a fungal infection on any other part of your body, ask your doctor or pharmacist to recommend a suitable treatment for you.
How long does this product take to work?
Once you’ve applied Lamisil Once, it will get to work on your infection immediately, and you should see improvement within just a few days. However, it may take up to 4 weeks for your damaged skin to heal completely.
Can I take a shower after using this treatment?
It’s best to apply Lamisil Once after you’ve had a shower or a bath. This gives the treatment time to dry and form a protective film over your feet, without being washed away. Once you’ve applied this product, you should not get your feet wet for 24 hours, after this you can shower and bathe as usual.
Can I use this product while I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?
If you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant, speak to your doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist before using this product or taking any other medication. Do not use this product if you are breastfeeding, because it contains terbinafine which is excreted in your breast milk.
Can I use other medication with this product?
Do not apply any other medication to your feet while you are using this product, including medicine you have bought without a prescription. Speak to your doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist before using this product if you are taking any other medication.
How to use Lamisil Once
Apply Lamisil Once after a shower or bath, making sure feet are washed and dried thoroughly. Apply Lamisil Once to both feet, using around half a tube per foot, making sure the skin is covered. Apply with fingers, making sure it is spread evenly between, under, and all over the toes, and the soles and sides of the foot. Do not rub or massage in, allow to dry for 1 – 2 minutes until a film has formed. Wash your hands after applying Lamisil Once.
When should Lamisil Once not be used?
Lamisil Once is not suitable for use by those under the age of 18. Do not use Lamisil Once if you are allergic to terbinafine or any of the other listed ingredients. This product is not suitable for those who have diabetes. Do not apply this solution to broken or damaged skin, other than at the site of treatment. For external use only, do not swallow, avoid contact with eyes and do not get this product onto your face. Keep away from naked flames as this product contains alcohol. Do not use this product if you:
- Suffer from long-term fungal infection of the soles and heels of your feet with thickened and/or flaky skin
- Want to treat anywhere other than the skin of your feet
Does this product have any side effects?
Like all medicines, Lamisil Once can have side effects, although not everyone will get them. Stop use and seek medical help immediately if you experience any symptoms of a severe allergic reaction, including:
- Difficulty breathing or swallowing
- Swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat
- Severe itching of the skin with a red rash or raised lumps
- Hives
- Blisters
Other side effects include:
- Skin dryness
- Skin irritation or burning sensation
- Rash
- Itching
- Blistering of the skin
- Hives

How to store this product
Store in a cool, dry place which is below 30 degrees C. Do not use this product if the expiry date printed on the original packaging has passed. Keep out of sight and reach of children.
