What are Scholl Flight Socks?
Scholl Flight Socks are specially designed to help to prevent DVT while relieving swelling in your legs or ankles during long journeys. Ideal for any long journey, whether it’s by car, plane, or train, the antimicrobial protection helps to keep your feet fresh and odour-free. Scholl Flight Socks can help your legs feel refreshed and revitalised so you can enjoy your trip.
What is DVT (deep vein thrombosis)?
DVT, or deep vein thrombosis, is the name for what happens when a blood clot forms in one of the deep veins in your body. These clots commonly form in the deep veins of your leg. If you’re inactive for long periods of time, such as during a long journey, you can be at higher risk of developing DVT. Common symptoms of DVT include
- Pain
- Swelling
- Skin feels warm near to area of the clot
- Red skin, particularly at the back of the calf
How can these flight socks help to prevent DVT?
Scholl Flight Socks are designed to provide a compression factor of 14 – 17 to your legs and feet. This level of pressure is clinically proven to improve circulation in the area, helping to prevent DVT. This pressure also helps to prevent fluid build-up in the legs, relieving swollen legs and ankles.
