What is Optrex Actimist Double Action spray for itchy and watery eyes?

Optrex Actimist Double Action eye spray is a soothing remedy for itchy and watery eyes. It reduces itching and irritation without needing to be applied directly to your eyes, being sprayed onto the eyelids where it can get to work alongside your eyes’ natural moisture barrier. It’s perfect for those who suffer from hay fever or allergies, as it can be used on the go when your eyes get irritated for protection and soothing relief.

Why are my eyes so itchy and irritated?

One of the most common causes of itchy, watery eyes is an allergy, for example, hay fever or an allergy to pet fur, dust, or mould spores. When your body reacts to an allergy it tries to get rid of the irritant by making your eyes water and itch. Another common cause of itchy eyes includes spending time in air-conditioned or heated environments, as the air can be particularly dry, which irritates your eyes and dries them out, making them itch and water as your natural tear layer tries to repair.

How will Optrex Actimist Double Action soothe my itchy, watery eyes?

Optrex Actimist Double Action eye spray is clinically proven to reduce redness and itchiness in and around your eyes. It works by supporting the natural tear film in that protects your eyes, this film can be disturbed by allergens like pollen, dust, pet dander, and even air-conditioned or dry environments. By helping to repair the tear film, this spray helps to reduce the irritation in your eyes which can lead to watering and itching.

Can I use this eye spray if I’m wearing contact lenses?

Optrex Actimist Double Action spray is applied to your eyelids, rather than to your eyes themselves. This means that it can be used while you’re wearing your contact lenses without having to remove them. However, if you’re ever concerned about whether you can use any treatment with your contact lenses, we’d recommend asking your doctor, pharmacist, or optometrist to make sure that the two are compatible.

Can I drive after using this product?

Optrex Actimist Double Action eye spray usually won’t affect your vision after use, so you should be able to drive. However, if your vision becomes blurry or you experience any other side effects which affect your vision or concentration, you should not attempt to drive or use any tools or machinery until the symptoms have passed and you’re sure you are safe to do so.

Can I use this spray if I’m wearing eye makeup?

Optrex Actimist spray usually won’t interfere with your eye makeup. The double-action mist is very fine and you don’t need to rub it into the skin or apply the spray to the skin in any other way. This means it shouldn’t smudge your makeup or make it run. This makes Optrex spray the perfect alternative for those who find that eye drops make their makeup run, especially if you have to use them throughout the day.

How to use this eye spray
