When you chew the gum it releases nicotine. The nicotine passes through the lining of your mouth and into your body, working to relieve your withdrawal symptoms. 

 

Directions

Always use Nicorette Freshmint Sugar-Free 4mg Nicotine - 25 Pieces exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / Chemist4U pharmacist has told you. 

Chew the gum until it becomes strong and then rest it between your gum and cheek. When the taste has faded, chew the gum again. Keep chewing the gum for 30 minutes. After this time the gum will have lost its strength and you should dispose of it carefully.

You should only chew one piece of gum at a time. Do not use more than 15 pieces of gum per day. 

 

Side effects

Nicorette Freshmint Sugar-Free 4mg Nicotine may cause side effects in some people, but these won’t affect everybody. Common side effects include:

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If you are pregnant it is best to give up without the use of a nicotine replacement. Stopping completely is the best option.  If you can’t stop smoking completely then nicotine replacement therapy is safer than smoking. Driving and operating machinery 

This product is unlikely to affect your ability to drive or operate machinery, however, occasionally, this product may cause dizziness. If you are affected, do not drive or operate machinery until you feel safe enough to do so.
