What is Daktarin Aktiv Cream?

Daktarin Aktiv Cream is a treatment for athlete’s foot which works by killing the fungi which cause infection. It helps to soothe the affected area while treating infection, providing effective relief when you need it most.

What causes athlete’s foot?

Athlete’s foot is a fungal skin infection which happens when the natural fungi on your skin find an environment where they can thrive. These fungi love a warm, moist environment, so if your feet are sweating and your shoes are too tight, you may find yourself at risk of athlete’s foot.

How will Daktarin Aktiv Cream help to treat my athlete’s foot?

Daktarin Aktiv Cream contains miconazole nitrate, an active ingredient which works to kill the fungi and bacteria which cause athlete’s foot. It also works to moisturise the affected skin, relieving cracked and reddened skin caused by athlete’s foot.

Which Daktarin product should I use?

If you have a fungal infection then it can be confusing to choose a product that will help you get back to normal. At the top of this page, we've included a comparison table of every Daktarin product, which shows you which conditions each product can treat. Remember, although this table is a good guideline, you should speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using Daktarin products if you're unsure what you're suffering from and what you should use for it.

How to use Daktarin Aktiv Cream.

Wash and dry the affected area thoroughly with your own towel before using Daktarin Aktiv Cream. Apply Daktarin Aktiv Cream to the affected skin twice a day, for example, once in the morning and once at night. After applying Daktarin Aktiv Cream, make sure to wash and dry your hands thoroughly to prevent spread of infection.

When should Daktarin Aktiv Cream not be used?

Do not use Daktarin Aktiv Cream if you are allergic to any of the listed ingredients. Do not get Daktarin Aktiv Cream in your eyes. If you are using blood thinning medications, such as warfarin, speak to your doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist before using Daktarin Aktiv Cream.
