How will this product relieve my pain?
Anadin Original contains the active ingredients aspirin and caffeine, which work together to relieve your pain fast. Aspirin is one of a group of drugs known as Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs), meaning that it works to relieve your pain while also reducing inflammation, high temperatures and fever. Caffeine works to speed up the effect of aspirin, increasing your pain relief at the same time.
How to take Anadin Original.
Take 1 – 2 Anadin Original caplets up to 6 times a day, as required, making sure to leave at least 4 hours between each dose. Do not take more than 12 caplets in any 24 hours and do not exceed the stated dose.
When should Anadin Original not be used?
Anadin Original is not suitable for use by those under the age of 16. Do not take this product if you are allergic to aspirin, caffeine, or any of the other listed ingredients. Anadin Original is not suitable for those who have:
- Stomach ulcers, perforation, or bleeding
- Haemophilia (blood that does not clot well)
- Gout
- Late-stage pregnancy or are breastfeeding
- Asthma
- Dehydration
- Allergic disease
- Liver or kidney problems
- G-6-PD deficiency (a hereditary condition leading to low red blood cell counts)

Does this product have any side effects?
Like all medicines, Anadin Original can have side effects, although not everyone will get them. Some of these side effects include:
- Stomach ulcers or perforation, showing symptoms such as severe abdominal pain or blood in your stools.
- Severe allergic reactions, e.g. difficulty breathing, skin rash, swollen facial features.
- Breathing problems, e.g. wheezing
- Blood does not clot well, showing symptoms such as bruising or bleeding.
- Tremors, shaking, and palpitations.
- Gout in those prone to it.
- Indigestion.
- Heartburn.
- Nausea and vomiting.
- Changes in skin colour.
- Runny nose.
