What are Andrews Salts?
Original Andrews Salts, also known as Andrews Liver Salts, are an effervescent powder containing magnesium sulphate, sodium hydrogen carbonate, and citric acid. Andrews Salts works to effectively relieve an upset stomach, indigestion and/or constipation.
How do you take Andrews Salts?
For an upset stomach, indigestion or overindulgence in adults, measure one level 5ml spoonful into a glass of water and then drink. Take as needed, up to a maximum of 4 times a day. For constipation, measure two level 5ml spoonfuls into a glass of water and then drink. Take before breakfast or at bedtime. For children over 3, the dosage should be half the recommended dose for adults.
How do the active ingredients work?
Original Andrews Salts contain three active ingredients: magnesium sulphate, sodium hydrogen carbonate, and citric acid. Magnesium sulphate acts as a laxative by increasing the amount of water in your intestines.
