Alternative Site Testing (ATS)
You have the option of obtaining a blood sample from other places on your body besides the fingertips.

A blood sample can be used from the palm, forearm, upper arm, thigh, or calf. While fingertip blood can be tested at any time during the day, there are times when testing from any other approved site is not ideal - usually when your blood glucose is rapidly changing.
