Diocalm Ultra
Diocalm Ultra stops diarrhoea fast for age 12 and over.
Diocalm Ultra act quickly and effectively to stop diarrhoea fast it contains Loperamide hydrochloride which reduces movement of the gut and stomach.
Use:
Diocalm Ultra capsules are used to treat the symptoms of acute (sudden, short-term) diarrhoea in adults and children aged 12 years and over.
Diocalm Ultra Capsules contain the following active ingredient: Loperamide Hydrochloride Ph. Eur 2.0mg
They also contain the following inactive ingredients: Lactose (DMV), maize starch (dried), microcrystalline cellulose (avicel PH 101) , pregelatinised starch (dried), croscarmellose sodium, dimeticone.
Shell cap: Yellow iron oxide (E172), black iron oxide (E172), indigo carmine (E132), titanium dioxide (E171), gelatin.
Shell body: Titanium dioxide (E171), gelatin
Before taking Diocalm Ultra Capsules:
The following information should be read before using this product
Do not use this product if you are sensitive to any of the ingredients listed at the beginning of this leaflet
Do not take this product if you have constipation (reduced frequency of bowel movements), diverticular disease (inflamed intestine) or ulcerative colitis (inflammatory bowel disease) - if in doubt please consult your doctor.
Do not take this product if you have impaired liver function (i.e. liver problems).
Do not use this product if you suffer from irritable bowel syndrome.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before using this product
This medicine is for the relief of the symptoms of diarrhoea and is not a substitute for oral rehydration therapy. It is important to replace body fluids and salts lost during diarrhoea, particularly if you are frail or elderly.
Directions for using Diocalm Ultra Capsules
Adults, the elderly and children 12 years and over: Two capsules immediately, followed by one capsule after each further bout of diarrhoea up to a maximum of 6 capsules in any 24 hours.
Not to be given to children under 12 years
Do not exceed the stated dose
Consult your doctor if symptoms persist for more than 24 hours
Overdose:
In the event of accidental or deliberate overdose, medical attention should be sought immediately.
Side-effects:
The following undesirable effects have been reported following use of this product. Rarely, skin rashes, including urticaria (itchy rash).
Should you experience these or any other sort of reaction, then stop using the product immediately and report it to your doctor or pharmacist who will advise you of the necessary action to take.
