Canesten Oral Capsules are used as an effective single dose for the treatment of vaginal thrush. With the Canesten Oral Capsule symptoms of vaginal thrush should disappear within 2 days of treatment. If you find that after taking the Canesten that the symptoms still persist after more than 7 days then it is advisable to see your doctor.
Canesten Oral Capsules can also be used to treat males suffering from thrush on the penis.
Ensure that the whole capsule is swallowed with a glass of water, with or without food.
A single Canesten Oral Capsule contains 150mg of Fluconazol, Sodium Lauryl Sulphate and Lactose Monohydrate.
Warnings
Do not use if you are pregnant, trying for a baby or breast feeding.
Do not use if you are taking terfenadine of cisapride.
Consult your doctor or a pharmacist before use if you are taking any medication other than the contraceptive pill and if you are aged under 16 or over 60.
If you develop an allergy to Canesten Fluconazol Oral Capsule, see your doctor immediately.
Keep out of sight and reach of children.
Side Effects
Canesten Fluconazol Oral Capsule may cause side effects in some people.
The most common side effects include sickness, stomach discomfort, diarrhoea and wind.
Rarely, people have experienced a rash or headaches.
