What is in the pack?

This pack contains 6 sachets of Canesten Oasis, sufficient for a 2 day course of treatment.

Each sachet of granules contains sodium citrate BP 4.0g as the active saccharin sodium and cranberry flavouring.

Sodium content per sachet: 939mg.

What is this medicine for?

Canesten Oasis for the relief of the symptoms of cystitis in women. Cystitis is an inflammation of the bladder, which causes painful irritation and an unpleasant burning sensation when passing water.

How does this medicine work?

Canesten Oasis is intended to relieve the painful irritation caused by cystitis, by making the urine less acidic. Each sachet contains 5.575g of granules, which should be dissolved in a glass of water to make a cranberry flavoured drink. You should start to feel relief within a few hours.

Do not take this medicine if:

  you are allergic to any of the ingredients listed above

  you suffer from heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes or have a history of kidney disease

  you are on a low salt diet

  you are pregnant or breast feeding

How should you take Canesten Oasis?

Adult women: Take the contents of one sachet dissolved in a glass of water, three times a day for two days.

If symptoms persist after the two day course is complete, consult your doctor.

Do not repeat the treatment without medical advice.

If you miss a dose, take one as soon as you remember, but do not double up the next dose to compensate the missed dose.

Not recommended for use in men or children

Side effects do not usually occur with this product. However, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you notice any unwanted effects whilst taking this medicine.

Keep all medicines away from children

Do not take this medicine after the expiry date shown on the sachet and carton

If you have any medicines that are out of date, return it to your pharmacist for safe disposal

These sachets should be stored in a dry place below 25°C

Keep them in the pack they came in. Do not transfer them to another container.
